Playsets

Does Outdoor Play Builders offer assembly and installation?

Yes! Our goal is to make this process as stress-free and seamless as possible. We will design, deliver, and assemble the playset of you and your child’s dreams without you having to lift a finger.

Do I need to level the surface area prior to install?

No. During our complimentary, no-pressure design and consultation process, Outdoor Play Builders will work with you to find a playset and location that meets your needs and desires. Our team of professional installers will properly prepare the play space to ensure your children are safe when playing in and around your playset.

Do I need any special material under the playset.

No. However, if this is something you would like to add in order to enhance the safety and look of your play area, we will help you determine which option is best for you. Our professional installers will handle all land modifications and ground safety surfacing installations.

Does the playset need to be stained or painted?

Outdoor Play Builders uses the highest quality pre-stained redwood and cedar lumber for a long-lasting product. To ensure your playset lasts for years to come, our industry recommends the re-application of stain every 2-3 years. Outdoor Play Builders offers this service as part of our commitment to ensuring your playset lasts a long time for your family!

Are your playsets customizable?

Absolutely! The reason we are different is that we want our custom playsets to meet the unique needs of each of the families we serve. Through our initial complimentary consultation, our Design Consultant will provide options to create the perfect playset for your family. Additionally, with our promise to long-term commitment, you are always welcome to contact us for any future upgrades or modifications for your playset.

How long will the playset last?

A well maintained playset should last 10-15 years. Routine reapplication of stain every 2-3 years and removing your tarp for rolled storage over winter will help extend the life of your playset.

Why does my wood appear to be splitting or have cracks?

As fresh lumber acclimates to its new environment, the natural tendencies of the tree can show itself in the form of checks, or “cracks” in the lumber. In almost all cases these are normal cosmetic defects and will not affect the structural integrity of your playset. If you believe the integrity of your playset is compromised by this natural occurrence, please contact us.

Trampolines

Do I need to take my trampoline down during the winter season?

No. Although taking the trampoline down may extend the life of the trampoline it is not required. Simple preventative steps like lowering the netting, covering with a tarp, and removing fallen snow can help prevent any damage during the winter months. There are still occasional nice days during the winter season, these are the days leaving your trampoline up and accessible make great opportunities for outside play!

Are trampolines safe with high winds?

To provide the safest setup for you and your family, we highly recommend purchasing the heavy-duty auger anchor kit in addition to the standard anchors provided with each trampoline. High winds can create sails with trampolines causing injury and damage to property, using our heavy-duty auger anchors is a great way to prevent this from happening. Additionally, to prevent damage to your trampoline, it is recommended to take down the basketball hoop prior to high wind events.

Basketball Hoops

Can my basketball hoop be adjusted for my child?

All of our basketball hoops are adjustable to a minimum height of 7’6” and a maximum height of 10’. With the ability to have lower heights children will be more engaged and interested when they are able to make shots. At heights lower than 7’6” injury can occur with body/hoop collisions as well as property damage with unintended vehicle contact.
